(01)Green screen stage

Miami green screen. Create any world.

Virtual environments, branded backgrounds and digital sets — lit properly, keyed in-house.

The Reel Deal Studios green screen stage in Miami, lit and framed by two cinema cameras with a REC monitor

What is a miami green screen studio?

REELdeal operates a Miami green screen studio for chroma key production. The stage is evenly lit with tracking markers available, and keying and compositing are handled in-house, so a session can produce several completely different environments from one afternoon of shooting.

How it works here

Green screen fails when the lighting is wrong, not when the software is. An unevenly lit wall, spill on the subject and a shadow behind the shoulders will beat any keyer on the market.

We light the wall separately from the subject, control spill, and check the key on set rather than discovering the problem in post. Tracking markers are available for shots that need camera movement.

Green Screen — questions

Answers, before you ask.

Yes. Keying and compositing are done in-house, and the key is checked live on set so issues are caught while the setup is still up.

Yes. Supply the background, or we can source or build it. Agreeing the environment before the shoot lets us match lighting and framing to it.

Yes. Markers are available for shots that need the camera to move while the background stays locked.

Green screen if the background is being replaced. Cyclorama if you want a clean white or colour-gelled backdrop in-camera. If you are unsure, describe the final shot and we will tell you.

Anything green, anything highly reflective, and fine repeating patterns. We will flag wardrobe issues before the shoot day if you send a look.
